Christmas in the Desert

Yea, I know Christmas was almost three months ago, but I'm not as behind on my blogging as some others... This December, we planned on going down to AZ right after Christmas as usual, but then we changed out minds and decided to go before Christmas . . . and didn't mention the change of plans to our parents:

It was kinda fun going to bed Christmas Eve in my parents house - something I haven't done in 15 years.

New pj's

Here are some random (and blurry) shots of Christmas Day with both sides of the family.

Thanks Nana!

Somehow, we all ended up wearing purple.

Gotta make a trip to see Grandma in the Mountains.

Henry and Elliot shakin' their booties with the dancing Santa:

Cousins' party

As always, and to Nathan's despair, we attended the Fiesta Bowl Parade. This year it was brrrrrr. This is the only picture I liked from that event:

This is how the kids looked when the adults left them to go out to dinner New Year's Eve.

And this is how the kids looked the night before we came back home.

And there it is in a nutshell. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving with Mickey

This last Thanksgiving, we thought we'd change things up a bit and go out of town (and NOT cook). Of course we picked Disneyland . . .

We stretched our legs in Vegas . . .

These are the biggest gumballs I've ever seen!

Our first day at Disneyland was Elliot's birthday. 9!

Happy Birthday E!

Elliot was chosen for the Jedi Training Academy. Probably because of the sign . . .

Jack Skellington is Elliot's favorite character.

Some group shots:

We were thrilled to see that they brought back Captain EO. Awesome.

Of course, the best thing about Disneyland is the rides. This was the first time that we were able to go on ALL of the rides together. Super fun!

Oh, let's not forget about Thanksgiving dinner! We had ours on Main Street.
Two versions of turkey dinner:

We also spent a day in Hollywood . . .

. . . and Newport Beach.

I honestly have no idea why we make them roll up their pants. Like it helps.

Yay for vacations!
